Team Tennis Training: Groundstrokes, Serves and Player Turns
Oct 11, 2026
For team practice, choose the machine by the station you need to run. Acemate S10 Pro combines repeatable feeding, moving rallies and a Serve-mode exercise for serving followed by a simulated return. It does not turn one station into simultaneous practice for an entire team, or promise a full day of active training from one charge.

Define the station before choosing the machine
| Station | How to organise it |
|---|---|
| Groundstroke pattern | One active hitter, a chosen target and a controlled rotation |
| Moving rally exercise | One active player with the robot's operating area clear |
| Serve-plus-one | A player serves, then practises the next shot against the simulated return |
| Receiving an elevated serve | Verify a separate suitable arrangement for that different task |
Serve-plus-one and return-of-serve are different exercises. The first starts with your player's serve. The second requires an incoming serve-like ball. Do not assume a mode named Serve does both.
What Pro supplies
The official Pro specification lists up to 75 mph feeds, a 100-ball hopper, topspin/backspin/flat options and horizontal/vertical aiming. Ball Machine mode allows a 1–15 second feed interval. Its five named modes are Rally, Drill, Serve, Ball Machine and Battle.
Use the feed interval to match the task and recovery time, rather than maximising throughput. Save a familiar pattern before introducing a more demanding sequence. The coach should decide when the next player enters and when the machine is paused.
For everyday lower-pace drills and moving rallies, S10 may already cover the station. Its published capacity is 80 balls with up to 60 mph feeds. Choose Pro when the station needs its higher feed ceiling, 100-ball hopper or ACE+ SHOT aiming.
Plan rotation and power as separate resources
Write a rotation that includes hitting, recovery, instruction and collection. A hopper capacity describes stored balls, not the number of players who can train at once. Missed catches require collection because Acemate does not retrieve balls from the ground.
Pro's up to five-hour runtime applies to Ball Machine mode with launching wheels at 3,000–4,000 rpm. It is not a five-hour mixed-mode team guarantee. For back-to-back lessons, get mode-specific power guidance and compatible battery information before committing the timetable.
A practical team demonstration should run the intended station through a player change and a collection break. During an official demonstration, ask the Ambassador to operate the controls and show the player-change workflow. Keep waiting players outside the operating area and follow the user guide.
FAQ
Does Serve mode recreate an elevated opponent serve?
Its described exercise is serving followed by a simulated return. Confirm a different arrangement if receiving an elevated serve is the requirement.
Can several players hit at the robot at once?
Plan a supervised station with one active player and a clear operating area. Do not infer simultaneous multi-player use from the hopper size.
Will one charge cover a full training day?
That is not established by the five-hour headline. The published condition is Ball Machine mode at 3,000–4,000 rpm, and actual duration varies.
