Acemate with Juniors: Shanks, Supervision and Damage Questions
Oct 11, 2026
An ordinary mishit does not establish that a machine will fail, but no verified impact rating here guarantees that S10 or S10 Pro is immune to shanks. For junior use, combine supervised operation with controlled drills and a clear damage-service process. Do not treat a reviewer's experience as a warranty promise.

What the evidence says
In his S10 hands-on review, Jon Crim describes a solid build and recessed cameras behind a clear cover. He reports hitting balls at the machine during normal testing without concern. That is an S10 observation, not a certified impact test or a Pro durability result.
The review discloses a brand-supplied unit and affiliate links. It does not publish an impact-speed rating, a repeatable shank test or a controlled academy failure rate. This article does not invent those missing results.
Set up a supervised junior station
| Before play | During play |
|---|---|
| Select a familiar exercise and manageable pace | One active player; waiting players outside the operating area |
| Inspect the visible net, poles and machine | Pause before anyone enters the machine's area |
| Follow the user guide for placement | Stop if movement or a component appears abnormal |
| Assign an adult to operate the controls | Clear loose balls and check the setup before restarting |
Do not deliberately strike the cameras, frame or sensors to test durability. If an impact causes visible damage or abnormal operation, stop and contact support with photos or video. Avoid repairs or modifications that the manufacturer has not authorised.
Choose the training mode around the junior
S10 offers everyday moving rallies and repeatable drills, with a published maximum feed speed of 60 mph and an 80-ball hopper. Pro increases the published ceiling to 75 mph and capacity to 100 balls. A junior does not need to practise at either maximum.
The net attempts to catch suitable incoming shots, and some returns still need collecting. It does not retrieve ground balls. Have the supervising adult manage collection breaks rather than allowing a player to approach an active machine.
For an academy, check the full station through a player change and a normal mishit during a demonstration. Confirm the model and who is responsible for daily inspection and storage.
Understand the service boundary
The official warranty is a one-year limited warranty from receipt. A service request requires proof of purchase, the serial number and photos or video of the issue. Misuse and non-quality issues are excluded. The policy does not establish that every ball-impact repair is covered.
If impact exposure is decisive for the purchase, ask for written model-specific guidance on the intended academy use. Use that answer rather than assuming an enclosed appearance guarantees a different machine's damage coverage.
FAQ
Is Acemate guaranteed against every mishit?
No such impact guarantee is established here. Follow the user guide and request model-specific guidance for your intended use.
Do S10 build observations prove Pro durability?
No. They concern the tested S10 unit and its conditions. They are not a Pro impact test.
What should I do after suspected damage?
Stop operation and contact official support with the serial number, order evidence and clear photos or video. Do not continue a drill with visibly damaged components.
