Acemate

TIME included the original Acemate Tennis Robot in its Best Inventions of 2025. The feature spotlights its moving catch-and-return design, app-controlled practice and post-session feedback on shot placement and speed.

Jon Crim found that changing feed positions encouraged better recovery and more active solo practice. He praised the customizable drills, intuitive controls and useful training data, while noting that advanced players may reach the limits of its speed, spin and catching ability.

Having tested the S10, Gadgets & Wearables highlights the Pro’s faster feeds, Serve Mode and Battle Mode. Its coverage focuses on serve-plus-one practice, flexible shot placement and deeper session analysis, with the Pro’s real-court performance still to be tested.

After rallying with Acemate on a compact CES court, CNET’s Matt Elliott praised its quick movement, ball tracking and natural timing between returns. He also explored custom drills for backhands, court coverage and spin, while noting that higher-level players could challenge its pace.

Jonas Eriksson liked the solid build, conventional feeding performance and changing shot angles. His overall experience was positive, but he also reported setup and calibration friction, occasional erratic movement and AI analysis that still needed development.

Drawing on his S10 testing, Dan Hellier identifies the larger hopper, longer claimed runtime and new launch system as relevant upgrades. He also highlights serve practice with a simulated return, while making clear that he has not tested the Pro and portability remains an open question.

During an afternoon on court at CES, Stuff’s Connor Jewiss found the reactive rallies drew him into better timing, footwork and more deliberate shot placement. He also valued the app’s shot-zone breakdowns as a way to review the session and adjust his practice.

New Atlas found the S10’s fast lateral movement and changing launch angles made practice more engaging and demanded more attention to footwork. The review also highlights post-drill feedback, while explaining that low returns and poor ball bounce can limit how many shots the net catches.

After several court sessions, Elouan highlighted the moving robot, varied drills and approachable app as useful additions to solo training. The review also notes limited pace for powerful hitters, imperfect statistics and a catching system that cannot retrieve every shot.

Watching Acemate at a local court, T3’s editor noticed how it moved to catch returned balls and varied the pace, height and angle of its feeds. He saw the appeal for players without a regular partner, while noting that some missed catches still meant stopping to refill.

Homecrux selected the S10 Pro among 50 standout devices its team saw at IFA 2026. The roundup highlights ball tracking and mobile returns alongside five training modes, from warm-up rallies to Battle Mode, and the new model’s higher feed speed.

Notebookcheck’s launch report explains how S10 Pro combines mobile rally training with an internally rotating ACE+ SHOT mechanism. It highlights adjustable drills and an app that records shot placement and in-or-out results, then uses those session data to suggest areas for practice.

As I saw in many YouTube reviews, the Acemate Robot is surprisingly good at catching the ball and maintaining a consistent rally.

My family love the Robot S10; it is like a real player for wide spectrum play levels. It is NOT a ball machine, BUT real helpful device from ball launching, drill practice, and rally. It covers diverse needs of tennis players, from beginner to high level player.

Good tennis machine for training. It would have been great if more options were provided for customization.

I love the technology of this machine. It offers a great workout and the feedback is pretty cool in that it tracks shots and offers advise. I highly recommend this. Just loving it.

All is good except the program is a bit confusing and personalizing. The program is also confusing.
